One Design - Optimist

We produce Optimist sails to win in every wind and sea state.

We base this success on our experience: to date, we have made more than 30,000 Optimist sails for customers throughout the world.

The keyword is our continuous striving for perfection and the great attention we pay to the smallest details: in this class, an error of just 0.1 mm can lead to significant defects which we find unacceptable.

Continuous tests at sea undertaken with the close co-operation of the best sailors in the world enable us constantly to improve our know-how and maintain our leading position.

Incredible results!

Results speak more than technical descriptions. In the Optimist class, Olimpic Sails® has won 15 World Championships in the past 18 years: an incredible result that has never been matched by any other sail-maker in the world!

Our sails lead to victory in almost every national and international regatta. In recent World Championships, Olimpic Sails® achieved no less than the first seven places in 1998, the first three places in 1999 and the first five places in 2000. In 2001, 14 Optimists using Olimpic Sails® finished in the top 19 positions, and the first three slots in both 2002 and 2003 went to Optimists with our sails, as well as first place for a girl (5th overall!). Such results, we believe, speak for themselves!
